Support a Young Woman of Color

Elizabeth Colon

Elizabeth Colόn is an Inspirational Speaker, Author & the CEO of the rapidly-growing and innovative multimillion-dollar company, Metaphrasis Language & Cultural Solutions. She speaks to audiences of entrepreneurs and women to empower them to turn their FEAR into FUEL so that they can achieve their dreams and embrace their destiny – just like she has done in her own career.

Background & History

Elizabeth was raised in a home where her mother did not have a voice, and so she learned early on that to get what she wanted in life, she would have to take care of herself. Despite various disadvantages and negative circumstances, Elizabeth charged through and worked her way up to becoming a business owner. She launched Metaphrasis Language & Cultural Solutions from scratch, by herself, with nothing but an idea and a skill set (speaking Spanish and English) – she had no investors, no loans and no support from anyone else. Since then, Metaphrasis has blossomed into a fast-growing, forward thinking, innovative Chicago-based and globally relevant translation and interpreting business.

Now Elizabeth uses her own story of struggle, fear and pain to inspire others – particularly women – to dream big, claim their voice, step up and tap into their fear as fuel their next level of development. Beyond business, beyond “success,” Elizabeth’s greater purpose in life is to create a movement amongst women to shatter their self-imposed boundaries and move through their limiting beliefs about what is possible.
