The FUERTE/STRONG New Leadership Program – A Better YOU! immerses young women of color via a 5-week Boot Camp for Success.
Who is it for?
Young Latinas, ages 19-30, who aspire to be better, to make more money, to have a career that leads to leadership, to make a difference in their families, to make an impact in their community, and make their lives mean something.
Curriculum Includes: 5 Sessions (Online/Live in Chicagoland area)
March 1: What's your story? (Online)
Storytelling has been proven as the most interesting way to communicate. Isn’t that what Netflix is all about. Is your life story ready to captivate. Tamika Lechee Morales, author, playwriter, teacher, founder and CEO of a non-profit will share her story and teach you how to write your story.
March 16: Tell your Story (Live/Online)
You will craft your story- We will take what we learned in the first session with a few more tools to actually write your story. Luz Canino-Baker, author, adjunct professor, leadership coach, and founder and CEO of a non-profit organization will facilitate the process of crafting your story.
April 6: Clean up Brand YOU! (Live/Online)
From the moment you walk into a room you are being defined. Would you like to control the message? Luz Canino-Baker, author, adjunct professor, leadership coach, and founder and CEO of a non-profit organization will teach you how to shape your brand to reflect a Better YOU!
April 20: Just Do It! (Live/Online)
Do you live in the some day/one day world? Why don’t you just do it? We will have a panel made up of women who one day decided to just do it and their lives were never the same. You will have table time with the women of your choice.
Tanya Flores: serial entrepreneur, real estate agent, biker.
Luz Canino-Baker: author, adjunct professor, leadership coach, and founder and CEO of a non-profit organization will teach you how her year of “Just Do It” Shaped her life.

May 4: GRIT (Activity in your City, Lunch, Online)
Angela Duckworth, Ph.D and GRIT Guru has written that GRIT is the determining factor for those who succeed. GRIT as she defines it is passion and perseverance towards long-term goals.
An activity in your city will be conducted to observe your GRIT in action. More to come on this day.

Meet Gaby Tafolla
She waited four long years, where she would invite her family and friends to help her celebrate. But this May, there are no proms and graduation ceremonies.
